About Rev. Chris Hope
Educator. Technologist. Minister. Father.
“I want my son, Asher, to grow up in a world where technology doesn’t strip us of our humanity—but strengthens it. A world where innovation is guided by integrity, and dignity isn’t an afterthought in design. That’s why I do this work.”
Hi, I’m Rev. Chris Hope—a father, educator, producer, and social entrepreneur. When I look into my son’s eyes, I’m reminded daily of the kind of future I want to help build—not just for him, but for every family, every worker, every community being reshaped by artificial intelligence.
I’m the Founder and Executive Director of The Loop Lab, a nonprofit based in Boston that creates pathways into media arts and technology careers for young adults from underestimated communities. I’m proud to say our work has won national recognition and multiple Telly Awards, including for our recent Audible collaborations that lift up authentic, Black-centered storytelling.
I also teach Ethical AI and Business Innovation at Boston University, where I challenge the next generation of leaders to build technology rooted in justice, transparency, and hope.
Through my consultancy, The Hope Group, I offer hands-on AI training, speaking engagements, and custom-built tools that help schools, nonprofits, and companies adopt AI ethically and equitably. We’re a verified issuer of certifications—because I believe access to ethical tech education should be inclusive, accessible, and transformative.
At the heart of all of this is a single belief: People come first. And my hope is that our tools—like our children—can grow up with that truth embedded in them.
