My Story

"When I became a father, the future stopped being theoretical."

From Ministry to The Loop Lab to Boston University to the United Nations, my journey has always been about one thing: ensuring that the people technology was never designed for are the ones who shape it next.

I am an ordained minister, AI consultant, Boston University lecturer, Aspen Institute Fellow, and the father of a two-year-old named Asher. Every system I build, every policy I fight for, every workshop I run — I see it through his eyes first.

Because the future being written in code right now will be the world he inherits. And it has to be worthy of him.

What I Do

  • Three words: Build. Teach. Advance.

Through The Hope Group I help organizations deploy AI responsibly — with underestimated communities at the center, not the margin.

Through The Loop Lab I train the young people the industry never came to recruit — and watch them win anyway.

Through My Ministry I am building a six-month AI civil rights campaign anchored by an NPR All Things Considered feature, a letter to Asher, and the conviction that hope is not a feeling. It is a design choice.

BLOG FEATURE — "Dear Tech Rev"

The Substack that NPR called worth your time.

Featured on NPR's All Things Considered · July 2026

The Dear Tech Rev column is where I say the things the AI industry's conference circuit is not ready for yet.

It is theology and technology. Policy and pastoral care. The Digital Beloved Community — what it looks like when we refuse to build a future that leaves people behind.

If you believe that every algorithm should answer to human dignity — this is your column.

Subscribe. The future needs your attention.

The Loop Lab

Chris founded The Loop Lab to create the opportunity his mother never had—to become a camerawoman in an industry that shut her out because of racism and sexism. Today, The Loop Lab trains BIPOC creatives in media and tech, turning exclusion into empowerment and legacy into action.
